THE RUNDEVILRUN STUDIO
The Run Devil Run recording studio first opened it's doors in 1994 in Thessaloniki. For more than a decade it had been a true alternative ....and by all means underground recording and music creating space where hundreds of local bands and artists recorded their albums, demos etc. In 2007 we decided that it was time for a bigger space so we begun designing (and later on building) the new Run Devil Run studio (Studio A) and at the same time re-build the existing one (Studio B) in the existing location. The new studio will cover an area of 360 m2 with 2 completely independend but still fully compatible recording facilities, 2 rehearsal rooms, a mastering suite, office for the record label and lounge spaces. At the moment Studio B is fully functionall while Studio A is in the building process. We offer high quality services in all the stages of the recording procedure (tracking, mixing and mastering) together with full production (arrangement, songwriting, session recordings etc.) and post-production services.
STUDIO B
We try to combine the best of both worlds, analog and digital, so we can focus on what really matters: music. That is why the studio is built around a digital audio workstation with all the benefits of digital editing and mixing combined with the warmth and character of high end analog outboard gear. All studio spaces are re-designed and re-built providing a much more acoustically ballanced space. All audio and power wirings are done from scratch also. The new Studio B consists of a fully equipped recording studio (with completelly refurbished control room and recording space), a rehearsal room and a lounge space. The control room is built around a refurbished, re-capped custom moded Soundcraft 6000 recording console, one of the best desks ever built by Soundcraft in the early 80's. This is not a "vintage-like" or "vintage sounding" thing....it is a true vintage, modular desk with great sounding preamps, musical EQ and high end summing amps. For lots of high end Guru's around the world is considered to be a well hidden secret and probably the best desk Soundcraft ever built (together with the 3200). We decided to use Cubase as DAW due to demand from its users. So we built a "super" server-computer to be its host with dual 64bit xeon proccesors running on 64bit XP and built a 192Khz/24bit I/O system with RME convertors and firewire interfaces. Our concept was to combine best of both worlds so along with a collection of high end analog outboard gear ( from Neve designed compressors, valve EQs and preamps from API, Great River and JLM Audio to custom racked Telefunken - Siemens preamps & EQs,vintage tape echoes, AKG spring reverbs etc) we have a fine collection of audio software including Samplers, Plugins and mastering sollutions. We also enriched our microphone collection and we can now provide a choice for every ocassion from valve Neumann's and AKG classics to modern Blue ribbons.

We redesigned the recording room in order to serve as a music production room too, so we included a complete midi studio and added a variety of instruments from upright Piano and upright Bass to Theremin and various hardware and software synths. The rehearsal room is also built from scratch and equipped with high end gear from vintage Marshal and Mesa Boogie amps to Sonor Drums.
