enter the Boomstate.....
Boomstate was formed back in 1996 by lead singer/songwriter Jim Lau and
his friend Harry Elektron, a multi-talented
experimentalist. Basist HP Marksman (ex Earth's Impossible Day) became the next to join the band. After the "release" of 4 demos and continuous changes in their line-up, the band recorded their first LP in the year 2002. The line-up was: Jim Lau, Harry Elektron, HP Marksman, Babyluck, Foot and Chris Mega. Unfortunately that album never made it to the cd stores due to unfulfilled promises... The last one to join the band was drummer Theo in the year 2003. Despite the fact that the shows were great, the group started suffering from dysfunctionality. Each one for his own reasons, Foot, Babyluck and Chris decided to leave the band in 2005 but Boomstate had to suffer another, greater loss. Co-founder Harry Elektron had to stop playing with the band and go abroad due to personal reasons. Today Boomstate consists of Lau, Marksman and Theo and they recently managed to get their first record deal on Rundevilrun Records, a new independent greek label.
